Government Briefs

The goal of Basis is not to collect complaints, it is to make them impossible to ignore. Government Briefs will turn clusters of verified reports into structured summaries for the civic bodies that can act on them.

The problem

One report gets filed and forgotten. A hundred from the same junction is a case.Briefs are how isolated frustration becomes evidence: where, how bad, how often, with photographs.

How it works

Step by step.

01

Reports are validated

Photos are checked by the model and reviewed by people, so the dataset is trustworthy.

02

Reports are clustered

Matching reports from the same area are grouped, and only clusters past a threshold are escalated.

03

A brief is generated

Location, category, severity, frequency and photographic evidence, stripped of personal identifiers.

04

It is sent and tracked

Routed to the relevant body such as BMC or PMC, timestamped, with the response tracked.

What you get

The details.

Threshold-based

Only verified, widespread problems are escalated, not one-off complaints.

Anonymised

Briefs carry the problem, never the person who reported it.

Trackable

Each dispatch is timestamped so resolution can be followed.

Built on human review

The review queue is what keeps the underlying data clean.

This page describes what we are building toward. Nothing here is a commitment about timing, and no government body has agreed to receive briefs from Basis.
